A hearty welcome to Crown Thai Massage to Hayes Valley. I visited the new establishment yesterday (Sun 16 Dec 23) for a combination Swedish/Thai massage. The vibe of the premises was very relaxed with tasteful decor and friendly reception by Joe. I was offered as to whether I wanted a male or female masseur. I was very lucky to get Amy who is amazingly professional with very warm and strong healing hands. She was very considerate in her care and kept checking with me if I was okay. An excellent massage and I will be back for more as this is now my new go-to place.

I get massages every 2-3 weeks to help with neck and shoulder tension from being at a desk job all day, so I appreciate firm pressure and massage therapists who can feel out exactly where you need work with very little direction from you.

I tried Crown Thai on a recent visit to SF from NYC, and loved my experience with Tanya! I usually avoid Asian massage parlors because they use too much pressure on the wrong parts of my back, don't seem to intuitively know where to target, and don't ask questions about desired pressure or target areas as they go.

Tanya made sure to ask if I wanted my back walked on beforehand (thank goodness because I really don't like that!) and, after she asked about target areas, gave me the best deep tissue neck and shoulder massage that ironed out my knots but was relaxing enough that I fell asleep! Head massage was also superb! It was a perfect balance of muscle work and de-stressing.

Their homemade ginger oil left a nice lingering tingle on my neck and shoulders while she worked on the rest of my body. $175 for 85 mins for this quality in this neighborhood: A+++

I had a Deep Tissue Thai Massage and was so impressed by how wonderful the massage was. I prefer strong pressure and have always had a problem with other places not applying enough pressure, my therapist actually listened to all of my concerns and provided the perfect amount of pressure and focus on the affected areas. Such a high quality service and the staff is incredibly nice and caring. Very happy this place opened in the area and will be going back for sure. Highly recommend.

Wendy did a great job. She moves limbs around to stretch and work on the joints. The combination massage is the way to go. It is much better than just a regular deep tissue massage. The quality of the work and the surrounding room are top notch. I hope it succeeds.

Great Massage! I originally booked a 90minute session via ClassPass to use my points before cancelling, and likes this spa so much I booked another session a week later!

I had Amy as my masseuse, and she did a fantastic job providing tailored care to my needs. I’ve had a recurring back injury that results in asymmetric tightness, and before jumping into the oil massage she did a great job with dry high pressure work in problem areas to loosen up before the massage. She was good at finding the knots and problem assess, and required no guidance.

Overall the atmosphere was very calm and welcoming. The only draw back is the room walls don’t go to the top, which means lobby noise carries. Since they are in a busier area it got a bit distracting when clients would come in and the road noise was prominent. Overall the quality of massage outweighs that minor annoyance.

Great Thai combination massage with Wendy. She was very good at moving/stretching my arms and legs to work on various joints. It is a better way to get the kinks out than just a regular deep massage. Clean environment. I will be back.

I had an amazing massage. The place is new and very spacious, clean and organized. My male masseuse was great, he went a little harder than I usually like but he knew exactly what he was doing, I felt extremely relaxed and rejuvenated. Highly recommend!
